So many changes are happening the first few weeks after baby is born, and time passes so quickly. I love being able to create photographs that will allow families to forever remember this sweet and ever-changing time with their newest addition. My goal is to document your family realistically to preserve life as it is, and to capture photos that emphasize connection, personalities and emotion.

session structure

My style of newborn sessions is lifestyle, which which essentially is a more natural photograph versus a typical propped and posed photo. I capture photos that emphasize connection and love that family members already have for this new life. Although I do include a number of more organized shots during each session, I prefer to loosely direct rather than strictly place each person for photos. Don’t worry about not knowing what to do – I’ll make sure you feel comfortable and have plenty of direction. Newborn sessions typically take place at your home. I make sure to capture a variety of shots, including baby alone, mom + dad with baby, baby with siblings, entire family, and so on.

booking a session

Because baby’s arrival may or may not happen when expected, I am flexible with scheduling newborn sessions. The best way to ensure we’re all as prepared as possible is to reach out as soon as you know you’d like to schedule a newborn session prior to birth. This will ensure that you have all of the information you need for the session before baby comes, and we can keep in touch leading up to your due date. Once baby is born, we’ll confirm a date and time for our session. Sessions usually take place between 1-4 weeks after birth.

Newborn sessions last approximately 60-90 minutes and include 60+ high resolution, hand-edited photos, delivered in an online gallery, with a digital release form. Images can be downloaded from your gallery, and prints, canvases, USB drives and more are available to add on. Sessions start at $550.
